Los Angeles Rams
Odds
Next game odds, playoff outlook, schedule and Super Bowl history.
The Rams are the NFC’s team to beat. Los Angeles went 12-5, rode the league’s top offense to the NFC Championship Game, and watched Matthew Stafford win MVP. Then they went out and added one of the best defenders in football. The bar is a second Super Bowl.
Stafford is back for an 18th season, Sean McVay has the offense humming, and the trade for Myles Garrett gives the defense a true difference-maker. The season even opens overseas, with a Week 1 trip to face the 49ers in Melbourne. This is a roster built to win it all.
Lucky Rebel’s Editor Top Pick
Matthew Stafford is the engine, and Myles Garrett is the upgrade that makes the Rams favorites. Stafford led the NFL in passing yards and touchdowns on his way to MVP, fronting an offense that finished first in points and yards. Adding Garrett, a five-time First-Team All-Pro, to a young defense that impressed in the playoffs is the move that pushes Los Angeles from contender to favorite. The window is wide open.

Rams to make the playoffs
| Market | Yes | No |
|---|---|---|
| Los Angeles Rams to make the playoffs | -295 | +215 |
Our call: they make it. At -295 to make the playoffs, the market sees the Rams as a near lock, and the roster backs it up. This is the reigning conference finalist with an MVP quarterback, the league’s best offense and a defense that just added an elite pass rusher. The only real caveat is a difficult schedule and the usual reminder that last year guarantees nothing. On talent, Los Angeles is the NFC favorite.
Sean McVay and a title window
McVay enters his tenth season as the gold standard for offensive coaching, fresh off a run to the NFC Championship Game and signed to a multi-year extension along with general manager Les Snead. The Rams are built to win now, with an MVP quarterback and a roster stocked on both sides.
The goal is stated plainly inside the building: a second Super Bowl while Stafford is still playing. McVay has the offense, the quarterback and now the defensive piece to chase it. Anything short of a deep run would be a disappointment.
Nate Scheelhaase, Chris Shula and the staff
Nate Scheelhaase is promoted to offensive coordinator after running the passing game, stepping in for Mike LaFleur, who left to become the Cardinals’ head coach. McVay remains the play-caller, so the scheme that led the league in scoring stays intact. Kliff Kingsbury also joins as assistant head coach, returning to the division he once coached in.
Chris Shula stays as defensive coordinator after a 2025 in which his young unit impressed, particularly in the playoffs. Now he has Myles Garrett to build around, a luxury that changes what the defense can be. Continuity on offense, a major addition on defense.
The Rams playing staff
Matthew Stafford headlines the roster, the reigning MVP throwing to a deep receiving group led by Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, with Kyren Williams and Blake Corum sharing the backfield. The offense has no obvious weakness.
Myles Garrett is the headliner on defense, the five-time All-Pro acquired from Cleveland to give Los Angeles a game-wrecking pass rusher. The Rams added to the secondary as well. This is a complete roster, and it is why Los Angeles is the favorite to represent the NFC.
