Los Angeles Rams
Playoff History
Next game odds, season schedule, playoff path, Super Bowl history.
The Rams have a habit of being on the right side of the games that wreck other teams, which is a nice habit to have in January. The Greatest Show on Turf turned the postseason into a track meet at the turn of the century. Two decades later they won a Super Bowl at home to close the 2021 season. And this past January they were at it again, a deep run that ended one game short of the Super Bowl.
Two cities, a steady stream of January
This franchise has reached the postseason from Los Angeles and St. Louis both, with the Greatest Show teams winning it all after the 1999 season and challenging again after 2001. The modern Rams reached a Super Bowl after the 2018 season and won one after the 2021 season, Cooper Kupp and a star-laden roster getting it done at home. A franchise that keeps finding its way back to the big January.
This past postseason
The latest run was a good one. Matthew Stafford and the Rams beat the Panthers, then won an overtime thriller at Chicago in the divisional round, before the top-seeded Seahawks ended it 31-27 in the NFC Championship Game. One game from another Super Bowl, turned away by the eventual champions.
Two trophies across two cities, a knack for winning the close ones, and a recent run that fell a game short. Rams fans, your franchise tends to be the team making the play rather than suffering it, which from where I sit looks like the better way to live. The wait for the next trophy will not feel long with this team.
