Cincinnati Bengals
Odds

Next game odds, playoff outlook, schedule and Super Bowl history.

Cincinnati spent 2025 watching its season slip away in the training room. Joe Burrow suffered turf toe in Week 2 and did not return until Thanksgiving, and the Bengals won just once without him. Burrow came back ahead of schedule and finished strong, but the hole was too deep. This is a playoff team that lost a year to one injury.

Everything is back for 2026. Zac Taylor kept his entire staff, both coordinators included, so the change has to come from the roster. With a healthy Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase, the offense is as dangerous as any in the league. The defense is the question.

Lucky Rebel’s Editor Top Pick

Joe Burrow is the whole thing. When healthy, he is one of the best quarterbacks in football, and Ja’Marr Chase is the best receiver. The 2025 season proved how thin the margin is without him, with a 40-year-old Joe Flacco holding the fort. Flacco re-signed as the backup, which matters. But the bet here is simple: a healthy Burrow makes Cincinnati a contender again.

Bengals to make the playoffs

MarketYesNo
Cincinnati Bengals to make the playoffs-170+130

Our call: they make it. At -170 to make the playoffs, the market is backing a healthy Burrow, and that is the right read. The Bengals have a top-five offense when their quarterback is upright, and the only thing standing between them and January is whether Al Golden’s defense climbs to even average. Burrow and Chase do the rest. Health is the variable, not talent.

Zac Taylor runs it back

Taylor kept his job and his whole staff after a 2025 that the front office chalked up to injury. It is a vote of continuity. Taylor has taken Cincinnati to a Super Bowl, and the belief is that a healthy roster, not a new voice, is what gets them back.

The seat is warm regardless. Two straight missed postseasons, even with the Burrow injury as cover, raise the stakes. Taylor needs the defense to hold up its end in 2026.

Dan Pitcher and Al Golden stay

Dan Pitcher returns as offensive coordinator, running a system built around Burrow’s quick processing and Chase’s ability to win anywhere. When the quarterback is healthy, this unit does not need fixing.

Al Golden is back for a second year as defensive coordinator after taking over from Lou Anarumo. His first season produced results only late, and the defense remains the franchise’s weak point. Getting that group to the middle of the pack is the entire offseason assignment, because the offense will carry the rest.

The Bengals playing staff

Ja’Marr Chase is the centerpiece, a receiver who changes how defenses have to play, and Burrow is the engine that feeds him. That pairing is the reason Cincinnati is favored to make a run whenever both are on the field.

Joe Flacco is back as veteran insurance after starting in Burrow’s absence last season, a sensible hedge given the injury history. The defense needs more bodies who can affect the quarterback. If Golden’s group takes a step, the Bengals are dangerous.
