New York Giants
Odds
Next game odds, playoff outlook, schedule and Super Bowl history.
The Giants are building around a quarterback and a coach with a winning pedigree. John Harbaugh arrives from Baltimore, where he won a Super Bowl and reached the playoffs twelve times, to take over a team that went 4-13 and finished last in the NFC East for a second straight year.
The reason for hope is Jaxson Dart. As a rookie he produced 24 total touchdowns, including a franchise-record nine on the ground, and finished near the top of the Offensive Rookie of the Year race. Now he gets a stable staff built to develop him.
Lucky Rebel’s Editor Top Pick
Jaxson Dart is the franchise bet. His rookie season was productive and creative, a dual-threat passer who made plays with his arm and his legs despite a banged-up supporting cast. John Harbaugh brought in an experienced staff to push Dart forward, and Malik Nabers returns from injury to give him a number one receiver. The arrow points up, even if the wins take time to follow.

Our call: they miss it. At +245 to make the playoffs and -350 to miss, the market still sees a rebuild. A 4-13 team with a second-year quarterback and a first-year head coach does not usually leap straight into contention, even a good one. Harbaugh and Dart are the foundation of something, but the NFC East is brutal and New York is starting from the cellar. This is a build.
John Harbaugh takes over
Harbaugh replaces the fired Brian Daboll after one of the most successful head-coaching runs of his generation in Baltimore. The Giants wanted a proven winner to reset the culture, and they got one. He went 4-1 against Dallas while with the Ravens, for what it is worth in the division.
The pairing of an established coach with a promising young quarterback is the blueprint. Harbaugh’s job is to turn a last-place roster into a competitive one, and he has the track record to make the climb believable.
Matt Nagy, Dennard Wilson and the staff
Matt Nagy is the new offensive coordinator, a former Coach of the Year with a quarterback background and a flexible scheme suited to Dart’s strengths. Brian Callahan, a former head coach himself, joins as passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach, a heavy investment in Dart’s development.
Dennard Wilson takes over the defense after coordinating Tennessee’s unit. The Giants added linebacker Tremaine Edmunds and cornerback Greg Newsome II to the group while trading away veteran Dexter Lawrence. The staff is built to teach a young team.
The Giants playing staff
Jaxson Dart is the center of everything, with Malik Nabers back from injury to give him a genuine top receiver. Abdul Carter, last year’s high pick, leads a pass rush the Giants are counting on to grow. The young core has talent.
The roster is still thin in spots after back-to-back last-place finishes, and the schedule is hard. The pieces are there for a build, but expecting a playoff jump in year one of Harbaugh and year two of Dart is asking a lot. The direction matters more than the 2026 record.
