Seattle Seahawks
Playoff History
Next game odds, season schedule, playoff path, Super Bowl history.
I get to end this division on a parade, because Seattle just had one. The Seahawks won the Super Bowl this past February, and the January run that got them there was a procession. A first-round bye, a 41-6 demolition of the 49ers, a 31-27 win over the Rams for the conference title, and then the trophy. For a franchise with a tangled postseason history, this was the clean, dominant January it had been chasing.
The roar before the rings
Seattle’s January book has some of the loudest moments the playoffs own. The Beast Quake, January 2011, Marshawn Lynch breaking the entire Saints defense on a run so violent it registered on a seismograph. The Legion of Boom years that produced a Super Bowl title to end the 2013 season and a gut-wrenching loss the year after. A late comeback over Green Bay in the NFC Championship Game that still feels stolen from the Packers.
The breakthrough
This past run added the cleanest chapter yet. No miracle finishes, no last-second agony, just a top seed playing like one and winning three straight to lift the trophy. After years of January drama, Seattle finally had a January that went exactly to plan.
A seismic run, two eras of contention, and a fresh title to cap it all. Seahawks fans, your January history had everything except a tidy ending, and this past one delivered it. You earned the parade. From a fan still waiting on his first one, I watched yours with something close to envy.
